REQUIRMENT

Must be able to read and speak English on a 10th grade level. Valid State or Government issued photo ID. Social Security card or ITIN number if issued one. Age 16 within 60 days of paying for Module 1. EXAMPLE TEST

START DATES

There are no start dates. Students can start the course anytime by paying in full, paying a down payment or paying for Module 1. Students will come into the school in Palmyra, Virginia after each Module to take a test. All tests must score 78% or higher to continue to to the next Module. Failed Module tests here can be repeated for $50. 

ATTENDANCE

Students will also review salon safety information and safe service skill on testing days. Students book their class time through an online booking system (or with the instructor by text/email). Class times can be chosen by the student to book any day they want Mon-Sun for any hours between 10am-9pm.

SUPPLIES

Students need disinfection and manicure supplies during the middle of studying Module 1. Students can have items already, get supplies on their own or choose to buy a kit from us. Pedicure and Gel Polish supplies are needed for Module 2. Acrylic supplies are needed for Module 3. Supplies are not specific. Our kits take the guess work out of what to buy for those new to nails and introduces them to Professional brand names to trust.

COMPLETION

Students must complete all 5 Modules within 1 year of paying for Module 1 to avoid instantly failing the course. Most students finish all 5 modules within 3-4 months. The sooner students finish all 5 Modules then the better chance they have to pass the state exam for licensing. Exams have regular updates so those finishing all Modules in more that 6 months will have double the study to prepare.  

The cost to take exams is $194. After passing the state exam (done at a secure state testing center) graduates can get their Virginia Nail Technician license for $105. Supplies to take the exam will cost abotu $100-150.
