FAQ Payment Plans

HOW DO I ENROLL IN THE PAYMENT PLAN?
Go to the ENROLL TODAY page to make your down payment. After paying you will be instantly redirected to create your online study account and start study (when ready) after making a down payment. The first monthly payment is due to be able to attend the first class day.

DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL AID TO GO TO NAIL SCHOOL?
No. Virginia does not offer financial aid to go to Nail School. You can get aid to go to Hair School (cosmetology/barbering) but we do not teach hair here. We specialize in Nail Training only. If you have military aid check into beauty schools at high military populations like the NOVA or Norfolk/Virginia Beach areas. We do not take military aid benefits. We are state licensed/approved for those with approved aid from VA Social Services (with available funds for job training).

ARE YOU GOING TO CHECK MY CREDIT FOR APPROVAL?
No. Anyone that makes a down payment will be approved for this in-house financing option and 100% approved for the payment plan. We do not report any payments to the credit bureaus.

DO YOU HAVE A SMALLER DOWN PAYMENT OPTION?
No. We have an initial cost to cover to enroll students into the online study. Students are usually ready to take their state exams within 5-6 months of starting the course. If students wait too long to take their exams (after starting a course here) they will be taking a new updated harder exam and could fail. We can not release students to take their exams until the course is paid for so our monthly payments are 3-5 months based on your down payment amount. Students need to take their exams within 8 months of starting a course here to be ready to pass the most current exam to get their license. Our course study is updated every 3-6 months to prepare students to get their license by passing the newest exam. We care about getting our students actually licensed not just taking their money and handing them a certificate.

WHEN CAN I ENROLL WITH THE PAYMENT PLAN?
Students can enroll anytime 24/7. Just make the down payment to be automatically enrolled.  As soon as you pay you will be redirected to start your online study when ready. Online study is self paced to study when you want anytime 24/7.

WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE IF I ENROLL TODAY?
We do not keep card/bank information on file. Students make their payment each month online or at the school. The minimum monthly payment is due by 11pm on the first of each month. The first payment is about 30 days from the day the down payment is made. Payments can be made earlier as desired to have the minimum paid by the 1st due. Students can pay more as desired to decrease the next month's minimum payment due. Students on payment plans can not attend their first class day until they have made their first monthly payment, etc.

HOW DO I PAY?

  • online anytime 24/7 at the "Monthly Payment" page
  • at the school during class with applepay, cash or card
  • use the drop box by the door to pay by check
  • pay by check in the mail to Virginia Nail School
  • by phone
  • zelle, cash app or venmo
  • Klarna offers payment plans in the payment process selection when paying

CAN I GET A KIT ON THE PAYMENT PLAN?
Kits are optional and not included in the course cost. If students want a kit then the full cost is added with the down payment for purchase. We do not have payment plans for our kits. Students can get supplies on their own since items are not specific. Students need sanitation, mani & pedi supplies after finishing about 10 hours of online study first. A recommended list is provided in the online study. They will need Acrylic supplies after attending the first class day (after 50 hrs of online study is done). Kits stay home with the student. Students only bring an acrylic brush on acrylic training days.

DO YOU HAVE LONGER PAYMENT PLANS?
No. Students need to take the state exam to get their license as soon as possible after finishing their training here. The state updates it's exams regularly. A course taken today won't let you pass an updated state exam to get a license after a year from starting a nail course. Students should be taking their exams within 8 months of starting our course (to be ready for the current exam). Most students pay their course off early when they finish early to be released to take the exams right away to get their license. We are not using a lender to keep our course here cost low.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN THE PAYMENT PLAN THAN PAYING IN FULL?
Students on payment plans can not attend the class days until their monthly payments have been made. The payment plan will cost more than the pay in full from added installment payment fees depending on which down payment you made. Students on payment plans that finish the course early will not have their paperwork released to take the state exams until the course is paid in full. Students on payment plans can quit anytime without owing future monthly payments but previously paid costs are not refunded. Signing up for the payment plan allows students to pay the down payment to try the course (no refund) and if they don't want to finish the course they can quit and not owe the future monthly payments. For students trying to finish fast the payment plan will delay their completion to get licensed until the course is paid for.

WHAT IS THE LATE FEE?
Students on payment plans that do not pay their monthly payment by 11pm on the first of each month have a late fee applied to their balance. On the 2nd (if the minimum is not paid when due) there will be a $35 late fee applied. If the minimum due is still not paid by the 15th of the month then on the 16th another $35 late fee is applied. Late fees will apply to the next month's payment to increase the minimum due for the next month. Early communication is important to get help when there are financial issues.

DO YOU KEEP MY CARD INFO ON FILE TO AUTOPAY?
No. You have to go to the MONTHLY PAYMENT page to pay your payment online or pay at the school.

CAN I QUIT THE COURSE?
Students can quit the course anytime with all future monthly payments not required to be paid and future payments due will not be collected through judgements. Notification is considerate (when a student decides to quit) to help the school know when to file away documents for archive (to accept other students for open space to enroll) and save the information in case there is a re-enrollment later. Payment plan is a option to enroll into the course with the ability to drop out within 30 days and not owe any future payments but all previous payments made are not refunded. All paid costs made to this school are not refunded.

Students with medical or personal issues can request a pause in their course. Students are suppose to finish the course within 6 months of paying in full or making a down payment to be ready for the most current exam (they are updated regularly). Pause times are only given during the first 120 days from the day they paid in full or made a down payment upon notice. Students can get a maximum of 60 days to pause their course and extend their finish time up to 8 months from the day they paid in full or made a down payment. A request must be made by email or in person. Long pauses are not recommended because the study changes every 3-6 months here to prepare students for upcoming updated licensing exams. Early communication is the key in getting accomodations!
